At least that’s the logic powering the new dating app, Hater.
Founded by Brendan Alper, Hater adds a splash of cynicism to dating.
Meet new people online for a dating chat, plan a date or meet the next love of your life – you're entirely in control. We know who you meet and spend your time with is essential. Registration by email address or a social network account only takes a minute.
Even if you choose not to have your activity tracked by third parties for advertising services, you will still see non-personalized ads on our site.
There are ten stations each manned by a sponsor who offers you a service. We let you know when 30 seconds remain, and then we let you know when three minutes are up and you have to move to the next station.
Dating Sponsors on the left (front to back): agent Sue Winik, Matt Jared of the Network, Paula Riley, Leslie Darhonsoff, the top of Lisa Gold's head, and the back of Kevin Urban's. It's a chance to introduce yourself to our ten or eleven sponsoring hosts and spend three minutes getting to know each other before moving on. (Instead of flowers, our sponsors will woo you with special discount offers.) Click here for the lineup of sponsors pictured on this page.
Instead of focusing only on what you like, it also wants to know what you despise.
Once you set up a profile, you’re given subjects to either “like,” “love,” “dislike,” or “hate.” With a swipe up, right, left, or down, you make a choice, and a new topic appears.
